The Lynchburg Fire Department rescued two people from a burning home on Wednesday morning after heavy black smoke and fire were reported at a residence on Warren Avenue. Deputy Fire Chief Marques Bush tells WSET five people were transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.Preview: He says three people sustained non-life-threatening injuries and two more with severe injuries required helicopter transport to regional medical facilities. One firefighter suffered a minor burn but has been treated and released. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the house is considered a total loss.
