Reports from April 2024 and February 2025 documented 14 violations each time, with concerns about storing combustible materials in restricted areas, malfunctioning fire doors, and blocked emergency exits. The Virginian Review reports electrical safety violations, neglect of fire suppression and alarm systems, and lack of fire safety planning and documentation were also noted. The school was ordered to correct violations immediately, with potential legal consequences for noncompliance. Efforts to obtain comments from school officials were unsuccessful.
