Voicer Script:
Heavy rainfall in northwestern Virginia has led to the flooding of dozens of roads in the Culpeper District, prompting closures and dangerous conditions as Hurricane Helene approaches. As of Thursday afternoon, 26 roadways are reported closed, with many more expected as the rain continues to fall. VDOT also warns that the storm may also produce some flooded roads in the Shenandoah Valley. Officials are urging caution and advising against unnecessary travel due to the potential for rapidly rising water levels and road damage. Drivers are reminded to never drive around barricades and to report hazardous road conditions to VDOT's Customer Service Center.
