Offcials say those Factors contributing to the rise in food prices include higher operating costs, supply-chain disruptions, and corporate profits. WTVD reports that eating out way cost you even more than staying in with the USDA also estimates a 3.5% increase in prices for food away from home, such as restaurants this year.
