The $264,000 in grants will benefit six community infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing food markets and increasing access to locally grown food. Youngkin emphasized the importance of supporting local food access and investing in innovative solutions. Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry Matthew Lohr highlighted the benefits of the Industries Development Fund Infrastructure Grant program grants in supporting farmers, strengthening local economies, and improving residents' access to fresh local foods. Applications for the next round of grants will be accepted in the spring.
