Henrico County residents are invited to share their thoughts on plans to open a gambling site. The Colonial Downs Group and Rosie's Gaming Emporium wants to open the site at the Staples Mills Shopping Center. A community meeting is set for Thursday from 5:00 to 6:00 at Henrico Recreation and Parks. Some county officials are already opposed to the project. Supervisor Dan Schmitt says a gambling site is not good business. He also tells 12 On Your Side constituents have told him they're worried about traffic, lighting and about how it'll be managed.
