(Richmond, VA) -- A major plywood plant in Virginia is closing its doors. The company released a statement Friday saying housing affordability challenges and a 30-year low on existing home sales have impacted their business. Georgia-Pacific makes plywood products used by contractors for home repair and remodeling. The plant is one of four in Virginia and will result in more than 550 jobs being lost.
