Governor Glenn Youngkin joined Bob McConnell, Tim Kaine, Jim Gilmore and George Allen to discuss the Brown versus Board of Education ruling at Virginia Commonwealth University on Saturday. The 1950s ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court found that racial segregation in public schools was unconstitutional. The governors pointed out the impact the ruling has had on the Commonwealth, as well as how it shaped their education policies. Former governors Mark Warner and Terry McAuliffe also contributed videos to the event, while former Governor Doug Wilder was absent.
