(Richmond, VA) -- Lawmakers in Virginia say despite a new law regulating the sale of edible hemp products, many retailers are still selling them. Rocio Rivera has details.Preview: The Virginia General Assembly passed a law restricting the amount and concentration of THC in products for sale in Virginia. But the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) says more than 300 stores have been penalized for not adhering to the rules. The VDACS says they've found more than 17-thousand violations in total. More than $10 million dollars in fines have been issued to numerous business as a result. But on the bright side, data from the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association found the number of cannabis-related ER visits for kids has been down since the law took effect. I'm RR.
