(Alexandria, VA) -- A high school in Virginia has canceled classes for the rest of the week due to multiple fights on campus. Rocio Rivera has details.Preview: The superintendent of Alexandria City High School has canceled classes today and tomorrow after fights broke out among multiple students. The highschool was placed on a hold status Tuesday after the fights injured several students and staff. Superintendent Melanie Kay-Wyatt said although the incidents involved a small number of students, they were extremely disruptive and against the school system's code of conduct. Kay-Wyatt said she's working with the ACHS administration team to figure out ways to have a more peaceful new year on campus. Previous fights among students at the high school have resulted in hospitalizations and even one death in 2022. I'm RR.
