John Hinckley, Junior announced Monday that he was planning to open his store in Williamsburg "in a week or two." NBC-4 in Washington, D.C. reached out to Hinckley this week to discuss his plans, and he told the station that he has dropped the idea after getting too much negative publicity. Hinckley has been living in the Williamsburg area since he was released from psychiatric care in 2016. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity for the 1981 assassination attempt that wounded President Reagan and three other people.
