(Richmond, VA) -- A new report has found homelessness is on the rise in Virginia. Rocio Rivera reports.Preview: Local nonprofit, Homeward, has released a report citing a 20% increase in homelessness in Central Virginia. The report found that as of July 24th, there were 100 more people experiencing homelessness compared to the year before. They also say the rise can be attributed to several reasons including unemployment, evictions, family breakdowns, and not being able to afford a house in the current market.
