Bath Community Hospital has received a $75,500 grant from the Virginia Health Care Foundation to enhance its Behavioral Health Team, allowing a Licensed Professional Counselor to transition to full-time status. The hospital's Behavioral Health Department, established in 2016, has expanded significantly under the leadership of Pari Baker, and now includes four full-time providers serving multiple locations. The Virginian Review says the grant covers services in 2025. The hospital CEO expressed gratitude for the grant, emphasizing the importance of addressing the growing demand for behavioral health services in rural communities.
