The National Weather Service currently expects the storm to then move over southern Georgia and northwest Florida before stalling off the South Carolina coast. Forecasters then believe the story will make landfall again around Charleston as a tropical storm. While Debby is not expected to strengthen significantly over land, there is a chance of gusty winds and heavy rainfall in North Carolina and Virginia. The storm's path remains uncertain, with some models suggesting it could impact the Hampton Roads area of Virginia by late in the week. Residents are advised to stay updated on the storm's progress as it continues to develop.
