Ten-million dollars in funding will be used to restore key transportation routes in southwest Virginia, including a section of U.S. 58 in Washington County that was washed out by the storm. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg [[ BOOT-edge-edge ]] says the ten million is an initial outlay and promised continuing support for hurricane recovery efforts in the region. Meanwhile, FEMA is opening another hurricane recovery center in southwest Virginia today. The office in Wytheville will be located at the Heritage Preservation Center.
