First Sergeant Tim Dooley with the state Department of Wildlife Resources is preparing for hundreds of people to visit Smith Mountain Lake in the Roanoke Region later this week.Preview: He tells ABC 13 News that when traffic on the water increases, so should your awareness.Preview: The agency will be a part of Operation Dry Water, a nationwide intiative to make sure boaters aren't impairs while on local waterways. People who are caught operating a vessel while under the influence could face a 25-hundred-dollar fine or jail time.
