(Yorba Linda, CA) -- NHRA drag racing legend John Force continues to improve after suffering a traumatic brain injury in a crash at a race near Richmond. Thomas Cage has the details.Preview: Voicer Script:
A video posted to social media on Thursday was the first time Force spoke to fans since the June 23rd crash. The 16-time funny car champion says he's doing better and is working on getting his body and mind right. Though under doctor's orders, the 75-year-old Force says he thinks he'll be able to attend next weekend's NHRA event in Las Vegas as an owner, to be there for his team, John Force Racing. Force's racecar suffered a catastrophic engine failure and its parachute failed to open, causing it to slam into a concrete retaining wall at more than 300-miles-per-hour.
