The state of Virginia will receive nearly 30-million dollars as part of a multi-state settlement with Kroger. Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares announced yesterday that Kroger has agreed to settle claims related to the opioid crisis made by more than two dozen states. The company will pay nearly one-point-four-billion dollars overall, with payments expected to begin next year. Kroger will also be required to report and share any data that indicates suspicious opioid activity at its pharmacies.
