The EPA has mandated utilities to create and maintain an inventory of water service lines to eliminate lead from drinking water. Jason Snyder with Lynchburg Water Resources tells WSET the city will notify residents if their pipes are suspected to contain lead and give instructions on how to test pipes and report their findings.Preview: The EPA's guidance includes allocating $15 million to replace lead pipes, with Lynchburg applying for funding to replace lead service lines. The inventory will be available online by October 16th.
