It becomes Virginia's Region 3 Coordination Center, which includes Charlottesville, Farmville, Harrisonburg, Lynchburg, South Boston, Staunton, and Waynesboro. Phil Hysell with the National Weather Service tells WSET-TV it will be a hub for emergency preparedness.Preview: The National Weather Service also gave Liberty a storm-ready certification to deal with weather disasters. It's only the fourth University in Virginia to receive the designation.
