Ellenor Zinski filed the suit claiming she was fired last year from her IT job at Liberty University after disclosing she identified as transgender. The lawsuit claims it violates the U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964. But conservative Liberty Counsel has asked a federal district court to dismiss the lawsuit saying the Civil Rights Act allows religious educational institutions to make employment decisions that align with their religious doctrine. Zinski's lawsuit is seeking $300-thousand dollars in damages and a declaration from Liberty University saying they indeed did violate Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. I'm RR.
