The Downtown Lynchburg Association is preparing to host the "Fireworks on the Riverfront'' for the fourth year in a row. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. with live music from the Social Distance Band. There will also be beer gardens set up at nearby restaurants, as well as food trucks. The organization is recommending guests bring their own chairs since a portion of Riverfront Park is blocked off due to construction of the new amphitheater. About five-thousand people are expected to attend the celebration, which is why officials suggest arriving early. The firework show is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.
