The City Council has approved a plan to use RAMP Church International off Memorial Drive as a homeless shelter. Before Tuesday night's vote, several members expressed concerns about the location of the facility since it's located across from E.C. Glass High School. Lynchburg Mayor Stephanie Reed disagrees, saying the community needs their help...

The church is planning to open 15 overnight beds this fall with the goal of eventually offering up to 50 beds for those in need.
