The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art says they received the grant termination letter in April citing a shift in federal priorities and a new executive order. The $33-thousand dollar grant was to fund the museums's special program called Nature's Witness. The program is an educational partnership with a local elementary and high school, and would guide students through environmental exploration, mentorship, and collaborative artmaking. It was in place for the past two years, and now the museum fears it's never returning. The museum also says it's worried about funding for other programs and they plant to reprioritize thier budget in the near future. I'm RR.
