(Norfolk, VA) -- Norfolk's MacArthur Center mall could be getting a massive makeover. Rocio Rivera has details.Preview: Twenty-five year old mall, MacArthur Center, is going to be revitalized. The city's Mayor Kenny Alexander revealed during his State of the City address Friday that the mall will be the Mid-Atlantic's most state-of-the-art mixed use destintation. He didn't reveal too many details or the cost of the project, but said the area will be transformed. The proposal so far includes a military themed 400 room hotel, high-rise apartments, retail stores, and a 2.5 acre pedestrian promenade. The mall currently is about 50% vacant. The city allocated $18 million last year to buy the mall out of foreclosure. I'm RR.
