Virginia Beach Rescue has confirmed four people have gotten marine life bites in the past week. The parent of one 10-year-old child bitten, tells WAVY she thinks her daughter was bitten by baby sand shark. Officials have not confirmed if all the bites have been from sharks, but say bites like the ones happening are rare. Officials say everyone should be vigilant if they swim in the ocean. They advise to swim near lifeguards, not to swim with schools of fish or dolphins, and stay away from people fishing on the beach. And if you do need help try to locate what hundred block marker you are closest to in order to get help fast.
