Glenn Youngkin announced initiatives yesterday that would ensure hospitals are equipped with safety bundles in order to strengthen emergency care for obstetric patients. Another measure would make it easier for out-of-state midwives to receive Virginia licensure. In all, Youngkin is looking for four-million-additional-dollars in the budget for things like the expansion of perinatal health hubs.
