Senators Creigh Deeds and Ghazala Hashmi are pushing to remove a trigger that would roll back the expansion if federal funding is cut. The expansion covers roughly 630,000 residents, and if funding is slashed, which could be rolled back by nearly $.5 Billion dollars. That means lawmakers would need to find a way to keep the program afloat.
