(Norfolk, VA) -- The Virgina Zoo has said goodbye to two meerkats. Rocio Rivera has details.Preview: Thirteen year-old Amadi and 12-year-old Hardy have died at the zoo. Zoo officials say the two were euthanized humanely last week due to age-related illness. They both exceeded their life expectancy of 10 years. The two had been at the Virginia zoo since 2015. They came to Virginia from the Cleveland Park Zoo where they were born in 2012. The Virginia Zoo says the two meerkats will be remembered for their bold personalities and fun observations they gave visitors over the years. The zoo says they're working with the Slender-tailed Meerkat Species Survival Plan to house new meerkats in the future. I'm RR.
