The study compared 100 of the most populated metro areas in America using 19 indicators of weight-related issues. In Virginia, Richmond ranked 44th and Virginia Beach came in at 50. McAllen, Texas made it into the top spot followed by Little Rock, Arkansas, Jackson, Mississippi, Mobile, Alabama, and Knoxville, TN rounding out the top five. At the bottom of the list was Honolulu, Hawaii. WalletHub considered obesity and overweight statistics, health consequences, and food and fitness when creating the ranking.
