(College Park, VA) -- A Virginia man faces murder charges in Georgia with officials saying he waited two days before reporting his child had died. Rebecca Hughes with more.Preview: Voicer Script:
College Park investigators say 21 year old Jerry Charles Chambers Junior had been living at the Travelodge on Old National Parkway since the summer. Arrest warrants obtained by Channel 2 say Chambers left the three month old baby alone in the room for two days while he went to work and stayed at a different hotel with a friend before calling police. Police say Chambers admitted to finding his son unresponsive and foaming at the mouth but it's unclear why he didn't immediately call for help for his son. He is facing charges of Cruelty to Children and Murder.
