One group wants to see the Fall Line Trail take a different route through Richmond. Construction has begun on the Fall Line Trail in Richmond, a 13-mile portion of the 43-mile multiuse path planned between Ashland and Petersburg. The groundbreaking ceremony at Bryan Park was attended by city officials and trail supporters but not everyone who showed up was pleased with the trail's planned route. Richmond Biz Sense reports Citizens for a Responsible Fall Line Trail held signs saying “Don’t pave Bryan Park,” “Change the route”, and “No more asphalt.” The project has been years in the making and aims to provide a recreational and transportation corridor for the region.
