(Norfolk, VA) -- Old Dominion University in Norfolk broke ground on its new $184 million dollar biological sciences building. Joe Murano reports.Preview: SCRIPT:
Its the university's largest capital construction project ever. The five-story, over 162-thousand-500-square-foot building will house the Department of Biological Sciences and the new Arthur and Phyllis Kaplan Orchid Conservatory. Construction is set to begin in the summer of 2025, with completion expected in time for the spring 2028 semester. 13 News Now reports that the building will feature state-of-the-art classrooms, labs, a lecture hall, and student support spaces, as well as a two-story tropical display house and terraced seating area.
