Concerns were raised about the shifting timeline for water service restoration and the potential misuse of the state agency as an "emergency plan." The VDH expressed frustration over the situation and discussed tightening regulations for incident reporting in the future. The General Assembly also passed a bill to reduce the reporting deadline for waterworks incidents to six hours.
