Virginia has reached a $29.4 million settlement with Kroger for its involvement in the opioid crisis, part of a $1.37 billion total settlement with 29 state attorneys general. The agreement includes measures for Kroger pharmacies to monitor and report suspicious opioid prescription activity. Attorney General Jason Miyares praised the settlement as providing vital funds for addiction prevention and treatment in Virginia.
