Dinwiddie County Commonwealth's Attorney Amanda Mann filed a request last week to drop charges against five Henrico County deputies. They're charged with second-degree murder. There's no word on when the judge will issue a ruling. Otieno died last year while in law enforcement custody at Central State Hospital. Charges still remain against two other Henrico deputies and a Central State Hospital employee. One of the deputies who could see his charges dropped is Dwayne Bramble. His lawyer says he's very pleased. He also tells 8News Dinwiddie residents should consider themselves lucky they have a prosecutor willing to do what the law requires as opposed to what's politically convenient.
