Council member Reva Trammell says she just wants kids to be able to enjoy the Charlie Sydnor playgound. Over the weekend, two of the park's four basketball hoops were vandalized, shattering glass all over the court. Trammell says the court was part of playground project worth nearly $1.8 million dollars in 2020. SHe says taxpayer money was used to build it, and it's a shame it's now being destroyed. She's asking for anyone with information on the vandalism to come forward. The city's Parks and Recreation department will now be replacing the glass backboard with plexiglass and installing cameras on the court. I'm RR.
