The two people who died on board have been identified. They are the pilot, 63-year-old John Latham of Haymarket and passenger, 73-year-old Niiben Ayivorh of Burke. Authorities say the privately owned twin engine plane was seen flying low just before 9:00a.m. Sunday after leaving Manassas Regional Airport. It crashed in a rural area en route to South Carolina. Witnesses say they heard an explosion and when responders got to the scene, the wreckage was on fire. The NTSB and FAA are investigating.
