The Police Unity Tour group left from Town Point Park in Norfolk Friday and includes about 100 officers on bikes, 30 on motorcycles and 60 support units from all over the country. Organizers tell WAVY-TV they want to support families, friends and coworkers who lost loved ones in the line of duty. According to Officer Down Memorial, 137 officers died on duty last year. This year so far, 56 officers have died while on duty. The ride also raises money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum which is where they officers were end at some point on Sunday.
