An energy company named Balico says it is pulling its application to rezone 750 acres in the Chatham area. The company wanted to build a 35-hundred-megawatt power plant to serve up to 12 data centers, but is now considering other possible uses for the land. It's the second time the company has pulled its rezoning application and some critics think they may try the proposal again in the future.
