Ramin Fatehi criticized city officials in a letter sent to Norfolk City Attorney Bernard Pishko this week. Fatehi said prosecuting misdemeanor shoplifting cases falls under his authority and would be taken to court more often if the city properly funded his office. He also accused the mayor and city council of politicizing criminal prosecution in Norfolk. Fatehi plans to revoke Pishko's authority to prosecute cases in Norfolk Circuit Court later today.
