Students for Justice in Palestine staged a walkout yesterday. They're protesting policies that require those with a facemask or hood to show their IDs, and a ban on drawing with chalk on a walkway known as The Compass. Protest organizer Sereen Haddad says chalking is one of the most peaceful forms of expression anyone could do. Her group has been protesting for months over the war between Israel and Hamas. Haddad is calling on VCU to divest from companies backing Israel. She tells 12 On Your Side until that changes, VCU will be funding genocide.
