The third wave of the Road Shark campaign has given Virginia drivers more than 85-hundred tickets and warnings between June 17th and the 23rd. The Fairfax County Police Department says that's 26-hundred more than last year's third wave. Each wave consists of a specific nonconsecutive week that the department picks. One of those citations went to a driver going 117 miles in a 55 mile an hour zone in the middle of the day on a Saturday. That driver was eventually arrested. Police are also ticketing people for using their phones while driving which the department says is illegal now. The fourth wave of Road Shark is scheduled to start Aug. 5th. I'm RR
