Williams, was found badly beaten outside her condominium in February. The suspect, Kurt Davis, allegedly attacked Williams in a random encounter, striking her in the head with a rock and possibly assaulting her with a shovel in February. WFXR reports that his charges are now upgraded from second-degree murder to first-degree murder with the indictment. Davis is being held at the Roanoke City Adult Detention Center.
