(Roanoke, VA) -- One Virginia school district is set to receive major upgrades on its fleet of school busses. Rocio Rivera has details.Preview: Roanoke City Public Schools will be receiving more than $16 million dollars to replace its fleet of school busses with zero-emission/electric busses. It's part of the EPA's Clean Heavy-Duty Vehicle Grant Program. It will replace existing internal combustion engines with more environmentally friendly vehicles, and will train workers to deploy the new technology. Their goal is improve air quality, reduce emissions and support well-paying jobs. Nearly 50 school busses will be replaced. I'm RR.
