The University of Virginia Health System is conducting a research study called weSurvive to support cancer survivors in improving their quality of life post-treatment. The program aims to address the lack of post-treatment support in the healthcare system and is particularly beneficial for survivors in rural areas, aiming to help them make positive lifestyle changes and improve outcomes. Participants in the study will receive personalized nutrition and physical activity guidance over a 6-month period, with telehealth-based sessions and support. Interested cancer survivors in Appalachian counties can participate for free to contribute to future advancements in post-cancer treatments.
