(Virginia Beach, VA) -- City leaders in Virginia Beach say they're upset over the recent sudden cancelation of the Something in the Water festival. Sara Bartlett has the details.

It came on the day the lineup was supposed to be announced last week. Pharrell Williams, Virginia Beach native and one of the festival's organizers, posted on social media that the festival wouldn't be happening this year as planned due to concerns about quality. It will be reschedule to April. Virginia Beach City Council held an informal session this week where they discussed festivals going forward. They say they were blindsided by the news about Something in the Water. An analysis of the 2023 festival found it had an economic impact of at least 26-million dollars on the region.
