(Goochland County, VA) -- A safety inspector is dead after an accident in a Goochland County construction zone. Sara Bartlett has the story.Preview: Voicer Script:
It happened around 10:00p.m. Thursday. WRIC-TV reports that Dennis Parton The Second of Newport News was working in a construction zone when a dump truck was backing up and hit him. Parton died from his injuries. Authorities say he was a safety inspector at the site. The driver of the dump truck was a 47-year-old man from Montross. Virginia State Police are investigating.
