Effective July 1, 2025. The move is part of the Save Local Pharmacies Act and aims to address concerns about conflicts of interest. Attorney General Jason Miyares and 38 other state attorneys general have called for similar action at the federal level. 13 News Now reports that The bill, passed by the General Assembly in March, was signed by Youngkin despite a rejected amendment to study the potential impacts of establishing a single PBM for the state's Medicaid program.
