Officials say that several public schools in Roanoke City, including Woodrow Wilson Middle School, Patrick Henry High School, and the Roanoke Technical Education Center closed early at 1 p.m. related to to power outages in the area. As of late Monday afternoon, school offials didn't have an estimated restoration time for the power. WFXR reports that students were still provided lunch before being dismissed for the day.
